WHO does the ZEBRA foundation fund?
- The ZEBRA Foundation supports research carried out by undergraduate veterinary students, MSc students, PhD students and research projects carried out by Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs).
- The ZEBRA Foundation does not support post PhD research.
- Institutional affiliation is required to qualify for funding. This can be a university, zoological collection or wildlife institution.
HOW MUCH does the ZEBRA Foundation fund?
- The ZEBRA Foundation will fund up to TWO successful applications per applicant, with a total of £1000 granted across both applications. For example, if you have secured a £800 grant in a first application, a second application will not cover more than £200
- Each successful grant will be inclusive of a £60 presentation fee for use at a BVZS meeting, to facilitate either poster printing, or be put towards your meeting registration costs. This fee will be retained by the ZEBRA Foundation until your project is finished and ready to be presented to the BVZS members. The amount will be paid to the printers or directly to the BVZS meeting organisers on your meeting registration.
WHAT will happen to my bank details after I have given these to the ZEBRA Foundation?
- Bank details should only be forwarded to the ZEBRA Foundation Treasurer.
- After payment has been made, your bank details will be deleted with immediate effect, as per the UK rules on GDPR.
