What to expect

The BVZS Annual Conference is the largest event we host during the year. The conference boasts a wide and diverse range of presentations covering zoo, wildlife and exotic species (NTCAs), suitable for vets, nurses and students.

We are excited to again be able to offer our incredibly popular round table discussions and masterclasses, covering a variety of interesting topics, as well as scientific posters and sponsor stands. Our plenary speakers this year are Jon Haycock, offering a key VMD overview for exotic, zoo and wildlife practitioners ,with an interactive Q & A session, and Matt Brash, who will be discussing the new Secretary of State Standards for zoos.

On Friday evening, we are thrilled to once again offer our very popular student mentor mixer  alongside our usual wine and canapes social gathering. Our AGM and Vic Simpson Memorial Awards will be held on Saturday afternoon, while the Gala Dinner and after dinner entertainment including the BVZS Dinner Quiz, Live Band and DJ will be held on Saturday evening. The Best Scientific Award alongside other prizes will be awarded on Sunday.
